“Thought we were going to get slaughtered in this one, 1-0 down and 2 rips (apo failed) by turn 4. only 6 players for my first 2 drives but managed to squeeze it. nearly 2-2 at end but luck held and crowded what few players were left (both teams) around the ball so no pickups
T16 equaliser was on the cards but after a pushback insdtead of pow it relied on an ogre pickup in 2 TZ which fortunately didn't come off.
Very fun game despite RIPs (which i probably deserve for playing when i shouldn't be) and 24 more ELF points

Started with just 10 players on pitch after Handicap took out my thrower (who should have had his debut this match!), then at first kick off my catcher gets hit by a rock and niggled! Not the start I really wanted.
Fortunately for me the elves broke quite easily and we soon outnumbered them on the pitch before taking the lead.
As the total number of players on the pitch slowly dwindled (through casualties and KO's, Light and Dark managed to break through and even up. Reorganising their players when kicking gave great help with getting a touchdown.
Even though I lost, the game was great fun (apart from the casualties suffered by both of us! Seemed like the majority of armour rolls went through - lots and lots of stuns & KOs on top of the other, more serious, injuries).
