#8 Saturn – Dead (RIP)
This was a match for the ages. Unfortunately, the feared Dark Scions seemed to have their heads somewhere else.
From the opening kickoff the Scions seemed to struggle with the pouring rain during the entire match but the Celestial Knights came to play.
Even the Scions coach, AFK Eagle seemed preoccupied on the sidelines with frequent nagging from his troll wife.

For the Knights, Jupiter, once again, made his highlight reel long bombs look effortless in the pouring rain and nearly came down with a pick but Mars was the real star today, scoring 2 of the Knights 3 TDs and proving that he came prepared to give the crowd something to cheer about.
The weather played havoc with both teams. The scions leaving two dead on the pitch and the Knights suffering from the loss of a key player as well.
The Scions just couldnt seem to get it together but their reputation is not lost on this Knights team. They will be back and with a vengence, thats assured.
What was expected to be a friendly recovery match ended up being a bloodbath.

#6 Draegloth II – Dead (RIP)
#7 Faen Tlabbar – Dead (RIP)
Combine this match with arguments with my wife IRL at same time, and it was a positively miserable experience. My agility 5 elves are unable to complete quick passes, yet he makes long bombs look like childs play. I succeeded in a third of my ball pickups; he never missed once. He had nary a tackle to his credit, but who cares? With the number of POW's he rolled, blodge was absolutely NO protection whatsoever. Income of 30k, loss of 170k of players to RIP, another 110k to retirement out of frustration for my niggled witch not showing to help, including two of my three best players. My one final chance to stop him, hoping for an interception, I fail a 1+ dodge to get into position; he never missed a single 3+ dodge.

Between firings and losses, we lost 50 TR in this match. If this is the definition of a "recovery match", then you can shove it where it belongs. Granted, my opponent was a good enough chap, and were I not having a bad time IRL, or the game was a tad bit more fair, then I would've found it highly enjoyable. So a rematch any time (maybe with different teams next time), I hope to be a better opponent.

I need a drink after this one. Who's with me?
