The Boilers managed to survive the onslaught and win the game on the last turn of the game.

it was 1-0 at the end of the 1st half, with the Boilers recieving 1st and scoring somewhere in the middle of the half, and then able to prevent a Horde score afterwards--due to a push that I thought wasn't 'lucky' as I wanted a knock down ended up making the ball carrier 1 square short of the EZ (even with gfi's).

2nd half, the dark Horde scored easily and quickly (by turn 3 or 4). The set up for the last drive had 8 humans and 10 Chaos on the field. The humans got their 2nd kill pretty soon after KO, and KO'd another to bring the numbers in line. Then a good play by Bum, the thrower, got the ball out of a bad situation. Bum had a BM above and Below him, but an open linemen 2 squares in front of him. So, without a RR, I passed the ball to the lineman (successfully--accurate and QP made it a 4+ even in 2 TZ's)..then the lineman ran over and handed off to one of my Blitzers, who ran down field. He was KO'd the next turn by a blitz, but another blitzer was available to pick up the ball and run close to the EZ.

With just one chance left, the Horde could not get anyone close to my blitzer, Jeff, who walked in on turn 8 to win the game.

Jeff got strip ball, and I hired 2 linemen...sid is back! 'used' the apoth after the game to get him back on the roster (I bought him back, but he was just a skilless lineman to begin with...)”
