“Chalk one down for the Mummies. Going up against the Sinners, the showdown of the undeads started in the typical Khemri fashion. On the first block of the game, the Mummy Queen let everyone know who was in charge by simply killing the ST5 flesh golem who was foolishly standing right down the middle of the field. And when regeneration fails, that's gotta hurt. The blow not only took out an incredible player, it left the opposing coach quite shaken too.
The Mummies rampaged their way down the field for a score on the 8th turn, with a nice little dodge from the ball carrier might I add, and racked up a couple more casualties on their way. In the second half however, Raging rebounded and with some pretty savvy play, had the Khemris waste their time blocking zombies for most of the half, knocked out a few players and managed to stall vs. the skeletons' poor movement and agility. We did succeed in getting the ball loose at some point, but the star werewolf quickly recovered and ended up tying it in turn 8. This one was going to overtime.
Starting OT, the Necromantics won the toss and got a quick snap enabling them to set up right under the ball and not too deep. If anything was going to happen for the Khemris, drastic measures were to be taken. That meant we had to keep the star wolf down at all cost. Facing some mean blitzing and fouling on a stunned werewolf, the Necros were running out of options. That lead them to try a rush down the middle with what should have been an easy dodge between the tackles, but alas Nuffle struck down hard and a little 1 swung the whole thing around. Our throw-ra picked up the ball and ran all he could toward the end zone, going for it as quick as possible before the opponent could recover. The rest of the team did just enough to protect him and he was able to score just before they would have gotten to him with two gfis.
If it wasn't for the fact that it only involved dead bodies on both side, I would say that this game was bloody as hell. The day ended with a whooping 8 casualties on our side and 2 against plus a couple of KOs. Yes we're evil, but why does Nuffle loves us so much? Could He be evil too? That might explain a lot actually... ”
“Mully, this game was Lost by me in OT.
===============================
Evil Coach and Necromancer Z was not worried about the Khemri. He had played their type before, and knew full well how to deal with them. Especially with his powerhouse in the form of Corporal Drelosyn.
However, the second the game started, his smile turned into a nasty frown as Drelosyn was killed on the very first punch of the match. It seemed that the Khemri had learned how to negate HIS necromantic powers [8 Fucking Cas with MB on AV8, where as only 2 on AV7 with claws... Malthor doesn't know the true meaning of Dice Rape].
The rest of the half went on a similar tone, with Sinners flying of the field as the Mausoleum trundled downfield to score.
The second half showed the Sinners immediately bursting behind enemy lines, and causing havoc and running around. Barich had a Death Grip on the ball, and held it for a full 6 turns before scoring.
OT would have had a similar result, if not for the Khemri fouling Barich twice in a row, stunning him. Dyer, looking to break out of the collapsing hole that the Sinners had left, tripped and fell very mysteriously [officials are looking into it... stupid double skulls then a 2+ failed dodge], which allowed the Thro-Ras to grab the ball, who had impeccable ball handling and dodging skills the ENTIRE game [made a 4+ Dodge to score in the first half].
Needless to say, a very very annoyed Z re-raised Corporal Drelosyn, with a stern warning to shape up or get the FUCK out of his team.
