Yes, this game was so nasty ;)
Like Mojo said it. I had very bad lu.... no wait, I didn'T have any luck at all :)
But it was so funny to see your Vampires die from doubleskulls against these little furs. I wonder why regenerate didn't fail ;)

But Mojo played good offense, though his rats fumbled several hand offs, just to get the ball bounced back.

In the end, the vamps are hard to play with this old off for a bite rule, didn't think it would be so tough. But this hypnotic gaze is funny.
Trashed the team, anyway.

However, Mojo, there are Necros, that await your little rats :) - if you dare ;)

re: necros:

You're on. =]

=================

I started the game off with a Blitz! (against me) and absolutely atrocious luck. I fumbled the ball for a few turns while the Vamps made their slow crawl down the field towards me. Fortunately, for me, that changed shortly into the game.

I have quite literally never seen someone throw as many double skulls. Yes, that means he had a whole lot of 2 die blocks against me and yes, that means I probably wasn't playing a good rat-like game, but... wow.

He literally had 4 or 5 of them. I know at least 2 were on the first block of his turn (if not necessarily the first move of his turn. Gluck knows how to play smart, at least).

This game was really a lot closer than it looks. The 3rd point was on a lucky turn 8 play (set up by him rolling double skulls to start his drive). The second point was off a dropped ball that would have inevitably been a score (2+ catch failed) and was only kept alive by a failed GFI to blitz the ball carrier. I suppose if he wouldn't have failed the GFI, it would have been double skulls anyway...

Gluck was a trooper and put up with this ugly turn of events with grace. In fact, we both kept blowing rolls and it was kinda fun to watch, in a Special Olympics kind of way. My rolls just weren't quite as "special" and I came up with the win.

Thanks for the game, Gluck. Another time (and another team!) we'll have a rematch and maybe we can get a real game in.
