“You know you're about to have a bad day when you've used your apothecary and lost your Orge for the game before the first turn of the game. A field invasion crippled the Blitzkrieg from the get-go and the Graveyarddream rolled over what was left standing of the defence for an easy first touchdown. The Blitzkrieg responded in style with a two-turn touchdown despite a Perfect Defense, then almost turned the Graveyarddream over for another one but they recovered the ball (and almost scored too!) so the half ended one-all.

In the second half, things went from bad to worse. Fritz died, Peter Zuckerman the back-up thrower got a niggling injury (he is currently contemplating an early retirement) and several important players left for the KO and BH boxes. Even with all that and *another* Perfect Defence, the recieving Blitzkrieg would have made it 2-1 had it not been for a butter-fingered reciever (how hard is it to take a 3+ catch with a re-roll anyway?). As it is, the graveyarddream recovered the loose ball and bashed the few remaining human players on the field into the ground on the way to a 2-1 lead.

With 2 turns left to play and neither of their throwers able to set up, things looked grim for the humans. Then the Undead rolled a Blitz and more or less wiped out any chance of equalising. Kudos to my opponent who made the best of my bad luck and pounded me well and truly into the ground.
