“I didn't had a good feeling (when do I?) and here I wasn't mistaken.
I recieved first and managed to score in two turns bust wasted two RR on the drive. In order to stop his drive, I burnt my two remaining RR to no avail and he scored a quick equalizer.
Starting my second offensive drive with no precious RR left and knowing that I would roll a lot of ones, I attempted a save play but Vargas excellent defensive play forced me to take some risks. Off course the first hand-off failed and he was quick to exploit the advantage and scored the leading TD just before the HT whistle was blown.
The HE recieved for the second period and I was prepared to recieve a stunning defeat. Vargas shouldn't have said that something to Nuffle ;) as the crappy dice somehow found the way into his hand. Despite being heavily outnumbered, a fumbled pass gave me the opportunity to capture the ball. Despite being cought off guard, Vargas put up a stiff resistance, but failed his crucial die rolls and so my remaining players made it downfield.
Being able to score on the sixth play forced me to make a difficult decision: If I had scored he would have been able to get the winning TD in to turns against my weak defence, so I choosed to stall one more turn.
Quickly Vargas moved his players for the deciecive two die blitz, but his blitzing player failed a GFI and plummeted to the ground before the feet of my surprised Blitzer. I ganged up on a happless Lion Warrior defending the endzone for a three die block, who went crowd surfing and consequently to the BH bin and so I scored the equalizer on turn 7, securing the draw.
Excellent coaching on part of Vargas.
Skill rolls were a mixed blessing, with one of my Blitzers gaining +AG but aged as well.”
