A real turn around game. I was a little disappointed at first; despite the fact that my opponent lined up most of his team on the line of scrimmage when kicking, the casualties were really rather light coming in. Countless blocks and a foul succeeded only in inflicting a SI (apo'd) and getting my fouler sent off on a 6 to the ref. Though we scored first, the elves quickly equalized 1-1, then scored again in the second half.

It was only when trailing by 2-1 that the woodies went into overdrive. Though yet another fouler got sent off on a 6 to the ref, the pro-elves were starting to drop like flies to a barrage of well-placed blocks. Quickly running in to score with two turns left either side, the woodies left only six pro-elvess to break the tie.

Which, ultimately, they failed to do. A break-neck GFI failed at first to get to the pro-elf passer, but when he was forced to pass to an open linesman out of desperation, that linesman promptly got blocked, and the ball chucked up to the same clumsy wood elf who'd tripped the turn before, scoring the winning touch down.
