“A fair match, all things considered. Skaven score first, lightning fast two turns. Lineup again, and he gets greedy with his blocks, resulting in skulls and giving me the opportunity to steal the ball for a second score. Lineup yet again, blitz! It takes some work, but we convert it into a third score.
Halftime.
By now the chaos are getting really frustrated, and are resorting to fouls to try to drive off the irritating rats, rerolling pushes on blocks without regard for ball control. They've also given up any semblance of worry for ball control nor winning the game, and stall for 3 or 4 turns while continuing to bash/foul my rats. Fortunately, all he gets are bunches of ko's, a couple bh and a MNG foul on my super-star SV. Eventually he scores.
Lineup for a OTS (just to spite him for stalling, otherwise I'd try a more conventional score with a linerat for a skill), but despite dodging nimbly through his lines I fail the final 2+ dodge, MNG'ing myself in the process. Given his proclivity for fouls, I wasn't about to use the apo on him, all alone and surrounded by evil chaos critters. So we just cart him off, wait for him to make a mistake in ball control, and then dodge in with my OTHER OTS and spring to paydirt.
All told, lucky to make it out of this game with only MNG's, nothing perm, a new linerat skill and cash for another linerat. Next game will be a real doozy, however, with two of my best players sitting it out...”
