#7 Simon Slayer – Smashed Knee (NI)
Unfortunately the 1st kick off was GtR. My one DP against his 3. My 11 players against his 16. Not good. Simon Slayer got his niggle in the 1st turn. One of the other linemen got killed in the half too.
At least I managed to score thanks to some unlucky tree blocking - double skulls - while my luck was through the roof. I made some huge plays at extremely bad odds (dodging away from DT flings, into a TZ and then making the next dodge too).
Then Nuffle turned on me and stopped what could have been the winning score. With the RR I got greedy and went for a 2 dice block when I could score without risk. Quad pow skulls and then loads of DT flings around my guys. I managed to blitz away the only DT fling, to fail the dodge on a 2+.
The game pretty much degenerated after that - I managed to POW the ball carrier twice - and in the end Belgische fell over landing for the winner.
At least I managed to escape with only the 2 MNGs and only one of those with a permanent - and enough money for the 3rd blitzer. ”
