#10 Lottery Winner – Dead (RIP) #16 Lucky #13 II – Dead (RIP)
“Any lover of bashy games, look elsewhere. This was a battle of determined OTS, with a few blocks going on around. Luck played a big part on both sides...
He double-1'd a pass, letting me score instead...
I double-1'd a gfi to the endzone, letting him score instead...
Same play, I used the apo on my OTS (SI for MNG), figuring he was my best shot at winning. Unfortunately, this decision cost me Lottery, one of the team originals and one of my best linerats, as he failed a desperate dodge to stop a pass and killed himself...
Double-1's catching by my gutter gave him the ball back for a score....
He accidentally used the wrong catcher, trying to OTS with his non-OTS, letting me take the ball and (several turns later, VERY slow compared to previous scoring drives ;-) ) score a desperation double-gfi with a linerat for a change...
His turn, perfect defense (the third or fourth seen between the teams during the game) put my str 6 RO right next to his OTS. A desperation 2d block MY pick resulted in twin pushback/pow, letting him slip through for the tying score as time expired...
An incredible game! Normally, I hate using OTS all the time, but I was missing two of my super-stars MNG from last match, and the handicap roll of "Greatest" put my two remaining super-stars at odds, so only one could be on-pitch at a time. So, I did what I had to do to win. MI responded wonderfully, scoring 6 times and passing his 51 spp roll w/o aging, gaining +Str in the process!! Two RIP (one a rookie in his very first game ever), two super-stars returned, two skills, more fans, and a very enjoyable game to play...I could use more games like this one!”
