“The game started with an onslaught of the dwarves. when the scored the first TD of the game towards the end of the first half, the Icebergs had 7 players knocked out, another badly hurt, and the apoth was already used to save another player from serious injury. Things looked hopless at the end of the first half.
The second half was different story. The norse managed to score a quick TD before the dwarves had a chance to dig into them, and then with brilliant defensive play, the Icebergs managed to steal the ball and score another quick TD. all that was done halfway into the second period. The last quater of the game was a contest of endurance. The Icebergs managed to stop the dwarves from scoring another TD to Tie the game, but they suffered a serious injury to one of their throwers, and worse yet, their top player - Sven Svensson - was killed.
At the end of the game the coach of the icebergs was heard saying, that he is not sure the price for maintaining the no-loss record was worth it.”
