“The match started badly for the Children of Darkness, pouring rain, only two vampires on the field and a failed pass when trying to score which gave the Elven Senators control of the ball. For fear of letting loose the other three vampires the Senators held of scoring as long as possible though, giving the Children ample opportunity to punish the elves within reach. Incredibly enough even hurting some elves proved to difficult, despite the fact that the referee was looking the other way when the Children tried a new tactic they had heard about, fouling. The only player hurt during this drive was in fact the vampire Louis, who was badly hurt and of course failed to regenerate...
Finally the Senators found the pressure to much though and scored, and with three turns left of the first half the vampires managed to score in turn, very much helped by the fact that the rain suddenly stopped.
In the second half both teams held their "serve", even though it was very close when the Senators blitzed during the vampires first drive of the half.
All in all a well played game, where both coaches tried out new tactics, the elves stalling and the vampires (or rather the thralls) fouling. My hat is off to Parlour who proved himself to be an excellent coach and also a nice chap. :)”
