“Both teams started out timidly, apparantly afraid to hurt one another during most of the game. It was not until Mohammed Siad Barre was hit in the middle of the second half, that the crowd got a wee taste of blood.
Mobutu did manage an intercept and a TD which apparently pleased the crowd so much, that more fans decided to come to the next game the Equatorial Liberation Front is playing.
Idi Amin commented after the match: "If this had been my old regieme, I would've hanged some of these players for their incompentence." He did not comment on the fact that he was the one who miss-caught the final pass, and could've run for the winning TD.
Asperon and I did have fun. Luck shifted like the Winds of Chaos, but nothing too fatal for either of us.
“Welcome sportsfans,
Todays game between Equatorial Liberation Front and the Watchmen proved what we all already knew, no matter how hard you try it is ms Fortuna that decides the outcome of a game.
The Equatorial Liberation Front started of the game with a swift touchdown, leaving the Watchmen trying desperatly to prevent the drive to no avail. After this the Watchmen tried som fancy throwing and catching play to even the score, failing this a bold move supported by ms Fortun by Rorschach saved the day. Half time saw a score of 1-1.
The Watchmen were reciving in the second half, and it looked like they would be able to take the lead. After a failed block by Dollar Bill the Equatorial Liberation Front retook the initivative and drived hard into the Watchmens half. Rorschach tried another desperate gamble, rushing to the ball and throwing it across the field. But Mobutu had seen this coming from miles away and intercepted that pass, which resulted in a Equatorial Liberation Front touchdown. The Watchmen tried another throw and catch manouver, this time the throw was accurate, but it was only the failed blocks by the Equatorial Liberation Front rearguard that made it possible for Molcoh to score, finishing the game 2-2.”
