“A fun game against a fun coach who had quite a bit of bad luck yet chuckled his way through the skullfest.

The game started with the Falcons on defence. A quick switching defence (Perfect Defence) put the Squarepushers under pressure as both teams tussled for an opening. It eventually came when Squarepusher Blitzer Joy Division the 2nd injured himself on a blitz (skull, reroll skull) and the Blood Falcons Blitzer Jeremiah Icemaul rushed the Squarepusher's Thrower and hurled him out of the endzone and into crowd along with the ball.

The cheering Falcons fans were then good enough to throw the ball back onto the pitch close enough for Nial Soulstealer to scoop up and score the first TD of the match.

On the next drive, the Squarepushers caged near the line of scrimmage after initially probing the Falcons 3-4-4 defence and not penetrating very far. However, as they advanced the cage, one of their linemen tripped over a blade of grass (rolled a 1 to GFI) allowing Jeremiah Icemaul to steal the ball for a second time.

The Squarepushers were so stunned that they just stood their whilst another of their players fell over (rolled a 1 for the dodge) and Icemaul was able to swing the ball around to lineman Kardin Nightstalker to score a second Falcons TD.

The Squarepushers were obviously a bit sleepy as three of their players remained snoring in the KO box leaving them with only 9 players on defence making easy for the Falcons to score a quick TD to take a 3-0 lead.

On the drive, the Squarepushers were put under pressure again and they passed the ball into a semi cage on the line of scrimmage. However, the Falcons were able to blitz the ball carrier and the ball scattered nicely allowing them to quickly score a 4th TD to take a 4-0 lead.

The Squarepushers were finally able to get on the scoreboard with a late TD when they again caged on the line and the Falcons gambled on blitzing the ball carrier in the cage rather than the single player in scoring position.

The teams lined up one more time in the dying minutes of the game. With the match safely won, the Falcons were looking forwards to the post game party and didn't bother playing any defence which allowed the Squarepushers to blitz the ball and then run it into a TD for a second score... almost... yet another 1 came up for my opponent and he tripped and fell on his face to end the match!

This really was a fun game. My opponent had a great attitude and laughed at the bad luck and played on with a smile. Was really enjoyable and I wish him good luck until we have our rematch when I want all his skulls and 1s to come rushing back heh.”
