“A remarkable match, the second half in particular being probably the most heavily influenced by luck that I've seen.
The first half was regular enough, a typical mess-up by the Stars on their own drive ending with the ball in opposition, and while the ensuing push was fiercely resisted, the two st 4 wardancers were two much for the defence and it was made 1-0 to Atletico.
Little matter however, as a blitz on the Atletico kick-off saw their flanks steam downfield in pursuit of the ball, leaving their backfield virtually empty. The Stars took immediate advantage, playing the ball wide and sending Elan clear for an easy 2-turner. Half-time, 1-1.
The second half was when the madness began. Failed dodges across the park and poor handling saw the ball dumped behind our lines, and although a massive scrum developed around it, Afesol's ag 5 told in the end when he pulled the ball out of the pack and thumped it to the reciever, who returned the pass at the endzone for 2-1.
With just a couple of turns left, it looked like Atletico would equalise when their drive, though boxed in on the flank, punched a hole in the defence for the ball-carrying catcher to run through. Unfortunately, he had one more dodge to make... the rest is now history :/
A really rough one for my opponent, I was actually sad to see the catcher go down as given his luck a draw would've beeen fair. Still, with those st 4 wardancers mg r should be proud of his team :)
Not all plain sailing for me, yet another dead lino. Looks like the 'ni family name really is cursed...”
