“Soooo clooose!

After starting with only 7 Woodies and the tree, I was plenty scared of Wizard's team. Fortunately I managed to keep it close, thanks in no small part to Morley's Revenge.

Turn 7 of regulation time I had to choose between passing over one of Wizard's INT-machines (and risking a 48% chance of an interception and relatively easily handing the win to the NextJedi) or trying a shorter pass and scoring on turn 8 for the win to end the game. I made the pass, but he managed to turn the ball over and get it to his dumpoff catcher who ate my blitz and pulled a brilliant move to dump the ball onto one of my own guys who had already moved. A move which is hereby dubbed, "A Wizard."

As it was, I managed to keep him from scoring in return and we went into OT. We swapped goals and ended up tied. Coin toss went to the Elves and I'm now out of the UIT-Amethyst Lantern.

Well done, Wizard. I had a really fun time trying desperately to trip you up. Thanks again for the game.”
