Well, this was never going to be an easy one for the Blitzkrieg with Star Blitzer Morgan Mann sitting on the bench because of an injury from their previous game. Little did we know they would prove their own worst enemies ...

The game started in the usual way, with the Blitzkrieg charging to a 1-0 lead with an easy two-turner. BlindDeafDumb recieved and it was then things started going badly. Mike Neuer failed a GFI (with a re-roll!) while charging the ball-carrier and took a trip to the KO box. On turn 4 he was followed by Klaus Wundermensh on a failed dodge (again, with a re-roll). The Orcs sent a few to the KO box themselves and managed to barrel past the much depleted Blitzkrieg for a touchdown to end the half.

One lineman returned from the KO box between halves, leaving the Blitzkrieg without any Blitzers to defend the Orc's second drive. To their credit, the linemen, catcher and ogre who took the field used an effective weakside setup and blitz to force a risky play from the orcs to save the ball. The long pass from the Orc Blitzer went off without a hitch, however, and soon aterwards Gunther the Blitzkrieg's Ogre scored himself a KO on double skulls. The five or six linemen and one catcher left on the field fought tooth and claw and surprisingly almost stopped BlindDeafDumb from scoring the winning touchdown which they only just managed to do at the end of the half. The fans were not impressed with a game featuring almost no play from the team's position players, however, and left the Blitzlkrieg in droves.

My opponent won like a gentleman and very honourably didn't foul -- though he did roll very well on armour penetration (and very poorly on injuries, thank god!).
