“My strategy in defense is to always force the opponent to have to try something drastic and it payed off very well this time. With a bit of bad luck on his side, he basically had nowhere to go all game.
My favorite moment had to be when I literaly busted up the cage and completely surrounded him with guards and tackles just at the right places.
I really enjoyed that game and I hope the next one will be a little bit closer. Great coach, nice to play with.
The bad news is that my thrower aged. I guess I'll keep him until I can afford an extra hand.”
My opponent whlist a very good coach who played excellently, benefitted from a long run of good luck for him and bad luck for me which made the game very lopsided.
At 1-1 with only one turn left for my opponent in the first half, we roll Injury Time and he gets an extra turn and ends up scoring.
My best player (potentially a match winner) failed 5 KO rolls in a row (1/32 chance) whilst my opponent made all buy one of his KO rolls.
I got blitzed.
I had to use rerolls repeatedly for catches. My Thrower (useless git that he is) fiumbbled at a critical time. I failed a dodge and KOd myself when I was setting up for a difficult TD attempt and gave up the ball to fall 1-3 behind.
Anyways... the truth of the matter was his team was much better than mine and my two Mighty Blows did not do enough damage to give me an advantage. I also rolled pushes most of the night which constantly thwarted my attempts to get into decent scoring position.
Full credit to my opponent who exploited my bad luck and didn't make any mistakes or leave me any easy options all night. It is just a pity the dice rolls helped him so much that I couldn't offer even a hint of a challenge.
Looking forward to a rematch some day against this worthy opponent.”
