“What can I say? My opponent played an excellent game and I am told he is a very good coach.
It is unfortunate that the dice were so unlucky that we did not really get to play a proper game. At the end of the first half, my luck was 42% and his was mid 60s. Nothing I did worked, everything he tried did.
I got annoyed at the luck about half way through and basically just went through the motions, and pushed the wrong way for Frenzy into guard. Didn't really try to stop him scoring either, just blocked all over the place not that it made a difference.
The only disappointing thing was that my opponent delayed a turn late in teh seocnd half when he was already leading 4-1 and he still had his apothecary and he chose not to push forward and use up a turn bunching everybody up when he could have penetrated with two players and opened up my defence (as I would have to cover the two players).
This needless delay (when leading 4-1) denied me a chance to score a second TD for the fan factor roll because it left me with only one turn in the final half. When you are griding your opponent into the ground, sometimes you remember the game is a game and you give a little so it is fun for all.
I was in the same position 2 nights ago when I had complete control of the game and wanted to hand off to a different player who could only score on the following turn, but I chose instead to score immediately to give my opponent a chance to score a TD that would not affect the result with 2 turns left. Made it a more fun game for both.
Oh well. At least no one got maimed and my luck (and play) could not be worse than this display.”
