“A match report written 14 months after the game was played heh. Reminicing about the good old days brought me to this match and the replay. Valdrek was a young player then, with only 3 skills. The Falcons even RECEIVED a handicap, amazing.
The Doors were a very developed team, but only had 11 players.
The Doors started in offence and did not push through far. The Falcons counterattacked and left their right wing wide open, allowing the Doors to get the ball down there with a cage.
The Falcons crashed the cage hard and put tackle zones all over the place. The Doors were under pressure and had few options, then had some bad luck with a failed dodge and the ball spilt free!
The Falcons had a chance to steal the ball, but ruined it when they forgot to check for guard and a one dice block (hoping for a push) was two dice against! A reroll was burnt to no avail and the Doors recovered and scored.
The Falcons in reply scored quickly as the Doors were undermanned (KO and/or BH).
On the next drive the Doors found themselves under some pressure as they were outnumbered. Then they had some bad luck with a snake eyes pass in the backfield with Falcons players nearby. The Falcons stole the ball and scored and it was a 2-1 half to the Falcons.
Next half the Falcons started in offence and it was not too dificult to score against only 8 or 9 Doors.
The Doors on their next drive only had 7 players (KO or BH) but still managed a score, thanks partially to a Mighty Blow blitz on one wing turning a 7 on the injury dice to an 8 meaning no dodges required for other players to run through.
The Falcons received again at 3-2 and it was reasonably easy to score against only 8 defenders. The Doors scored again despite being undermanned (they had some great players back then, AG5 Guard Leap Witch Elf , Str 4 AG5 Lino and Blitzer etc) and the game finished with the Falcons ahead by just the one TD.”
