Anyway, yes, I bought Ram-Tutt III for the game. But I only did this thinking I would be playing his 175/181 LM team and not this one. When we DID link up to the game I offered no less than three times to re-start the game so he could use his higher rated LM team instead and he refused.

He probably refused because he got Doom and Gloom for a HC, reducing me to 1 RR. That combined with the fact that I failed my first FIVE GFI rolls pretty much cinched the first half for him. Similar luck remained with me the whole game, such as my star mummy never returning from KO while all 3 of his KOs did in one set of rolls, him only failing one dodge roll the entire game, and him successfully blitzing my st6 mummy to get the ball from him with 2d my favor. Overall, a crap luck game, but it happens. I didn't even bitch when he killed my st4 skel.

As for the foul, I wanted to try to preserve some of my slipping cas ratio. I never figured I would actually do real damage since his apo was up. The odds of him coming away with a perm injury were somewhere on the order of 1 in 40, but fate stepped in and gave it to him. I would have rather his apo had worked.

Anyway, I enjoyed the game despite my thrashing. the combination of him playing well and my poor luck made it clear I would lose by the half.”
