“A game the necros won which they really should have lost. After a hard fought first half, the necros were down a wolf and the score was tied at 1, with the chaos receiving. We figured it would be a pain to get the ball free due to his cw's, and we were right. At least, until he decided to blitz the ball away from my main figures--the wights, ghoul and remaining wolf--figuring distance would cover for him. What he didn't count on was the skulls nuffle threw his way when he got greedy and kept blocking instead of advancing his ballboy, leaving him just barely within range of a double-gfi blitz by a golem, who not only knocked the beastman down but caught the ball on the fly, with not a single beastman able to get in range to support a retaliatory blitz. He tried anyway, but fell, and from here on out it was a matter of zombies slowing his guys up in a mid-pitch brawl while my speedy wights, ghoul and wolf streaked down the sideline and were able to gang up on the two beastmen and lone cw able to get close. Couple key stuns/ko's, and win is secured.
GG, though I'm bummed FTL aged a niggle on only his second skill roll. Figures the team's first aging would be a niggle on a wolf. *sigh* Gonna have to start counting our pennies and save...”
