Although my opponent's bad luck first half was ceratinly brutal, the nastiest bit came with a turn 16 one die block on my Rat Ogre by his Treeman, who was trying to free up an escape route for some elves...Skull, Niggling.

Still, both of our designated throwers' atrocious and constant fumbling of passes made the game quite a good one, with plenty of complicated defensive moves including an insanely successful wood elf long bomb pass from heavy coverage.

Will be most glad to play Bloke again some time, may he have better luck in his matches between now and then!

#9 Woof – Smashed Knee (NI)
At last an opportunity to play another fast team at this tr. The game was as good as it should have been, indeed partly due to terrible throwing.

The first half began with the skaven receiving, and although elves got into the backfield quickly as the gutter runner thrower fumbled, an excellent three gr move down the pitch saw out a three-turner.
As the Stars set up for a reply, the rats similarly flooded the backfield, but the thrower still had a clear shot to his catcher... unfortunately he fumbled, and abruptly dissapeared under 7-8 skaven linos, one of whom got the ball to a storm vermin to make it 2-0.
We still had time for another shot, and this time we went very long, the thrower aiming for his catcher in the endzone. He fumbled again :(
Half-time, 0-2.

The second half gave us a third attempt, unfortunately the thrower set up too close to the los and there were soon rats all around him and his escort. The skaven made a hell of a lot of gfis to get there, but we got even luckier as the thrower handed off to the escort, who then made a 6+ long bomb out of there to the unmarked catcher, who ran in for 1-2 :)
On the next kick off the skaven thrower fumbled once more, and this time Illis the catcher was able to sprint through the lines and grab the ball. Marking and counter-marking ensued, but Illis got away to tie the score at 2-2.
Come the last drive however the Stars were running a little light on players, and although the skaven thrower gave his manager yet another scare, they got the ball secure in our half and waited a turn to cross the line.
There was still time for one last tragedy, however; Woof the treeman fought to get his little pals free by punching out the rat ogre, and amazingly splatted himself in the process.... Full-time, 2-3

A very fun game, the routine mess ups making the plays more carefully thought out than they would've been otherwise. My luck was quite bad, but Corporate Slave's neat play with the skills and gutter runners won it in the end. A good opponent and a good match :)

If only the treeman hadn't done himself in :'(
