The Mentalists withstood heavy dwarven blocking to produce a solid 1-0 victory.

Constant first-half pressure from the dark elves forced fumbles and ball-drops galore, but they just couldn't capitalise and get the ball to their own players. However, despite finishing turn 6 with one man standing, they were able to hold off the Big Lebowski scoring machine.

The second half featured some classic Witch Elf distraction, Mad Hettie running the "Look at me everybody!" play, whilst the rest of the dark elves rolled a slow cage down the wings.

Bitsey fumbled a 2+ throw for the quick TD, but a failed GFI stopped the 2d dwarven blitz (the indestructible Dr. Thranst strikes again) and Bitesy ran in the score in Turn 5.

A very deep kick made life hard for the Lebowskis, as the dark elves blitzed towards The Dude. Good recovery from the dwarves kept him protected, and, after Mad Hettie managed to skull block herself out of the game, the dark elves just couldn't get to the ball.

Bygas was forced to go for the double GFI to have any chance of scoring, but once again Bygas suffered from "the ones" at a crtical moment. The Dude went down, stunned. With neither player now able to score the Har Ganeth went for the extra skill points of a completion. Three 2+ rolls proved too much, however, and Drenoch's slippy fingers kept Dr. Thranst from the first points of his Bloodbowl career.

The match ended with a series of pushbacks, and both sets of players trudged of the field. Neither side would have been thrilled with the performance, but the Mentalists were satisfied with the result.
