There were so many tds that I can't even remember them all. The game started poorly for the Stars, two blitzes on our first two drives allowing the Gutter Runners in and on to the ball like lightning, and before we knew it we were 0-2 down. More concerning was the skaven killing machine, Neck Breaker, starting to go about his business and clearing our midfield.
Our third drive started better, and our receivers made their positions. Unfortunately the backfield messed up, and the rats had their chance to kick a bunch of the runners into the crowd. As they went for the thrower however, the cover reacted, and he was able to get the long pass away for Afesol to score. Coming up on h/t and there was no time for another td, so some brutal blocking ensued, seeing the elven apoth save Eimein from an early grave, Face Eater be ignored by his own apoth as he went down, and a further bh on the elves. Finally, a great cheer went up from the elven crowd as Neck Breaker was sent to the casualty box by Ainas, relieving the pressure. Half-time, 1-2.

The second half started with the Skaven receiving, and their super-star gutters ensured it was a quick td. In the process however, Neck Breaker's apprentice Head Cracker picked up where he left off and niggled poor Eunim, standing on the los. The elven reply was also quick, although unusual, as Void Hunter's shadowing took him right across the pitch on the tail of first a wardancer and then Illis the catcher, even crossing the line on his back as they couldn't shake the guy.
The next skaven drive was make or break for the Stars, and the 7 elves still on the pitch battled valiantly against the runners, a blitz of their own allowing them to put the pressure on. The ball was in their hands at one point, but they couldn't hold it, and it got worse as Ainas was killed by the marauding rat ogre :(
Still in with a shot, the Elves replied with one last long bomb to make it 3-4, and hoped for a lucky kick-off result. They didn't get it, and the rats were able to run in their fifth as the last few elves laid on the deck. Full-time, 3-5.

Possibly the longest and most inaccurate match report I've written, so much happened I don't remember a lot of it.

Suffice to say it was a magnificent game, very bloody and a lot of fine attacking moves. The Stars fought bravely but the classy gutters were too much for them. Thanks for the match paulhicks, better than our last :)”
