“The Stars at last break their losing streak, and in some style :)
The human backfield was horribly error-prone in the first half, and the moment they dropped the ball they had our leapers all over them, and the poor guys couldn't handle it as Illis and Essen ran in a td each, and then we almost stole another one, but the humans held on o it this time, and battled all the way down the field to get the ball to their catcher. I was glad to see hims cross the line without tripping over, whch would've been typical... Half-Time, 2-1.
The second half starts with another surprise, as a mess up by the rookie thrower allows the humans this time to leg it through and steal the ball for 2-2. Our next drive gets a blitz, and it looks like it might incredibly be 2-3, but we make a series of high-risk dodges to smack it clear to Illis, for our third. On the last drive we again swamped the backfield, and although it turned into a huge scrum (Tree and Ogre wading in) we dug it out to run home our fourth. Full-Time, 4-2.
A tough match for osirus, he would've found it a little hard to contain our leapers as it was, but his bad luck (terrible in the first half) made it damn hard. As such he did really well to get back to 2-2, and was unfortunate not to hold the tie.
A well natured match and a well natured opponent. Thanks Osirus :)”
