Poor little crunchy rats. Sorry for the two nigglers, Trog!

No skills, but otherwise a solid first outing for the Radii-ii. I started off with my usual lucky break, a blitz to start the game, and almost managed to convert there until a great skaven play put the ball in the hands of a GR across the pitch and in reach of the endzone. Despite a valiant effort to stop him, Trog went up 1-0.

Second kick-off, I got a decent cage moving and scored turn 6 or so. Trog made a rush to get a receiver in reach and eligible, but fortunately the rats were crunchy and he was already a few men down at that point. The half ended 1-1.

Second half, I received and got a few BM heading down the sideline while the rest of the boys had Trog's precious few remaining Skaven tied up in the middle of the field. Turn 4, score 2-1.

Trog's next drive was really quite a fun one. He got a nice pocket formed up in my backfield (4 rats on the corners of a 4x4 space behind the LOS, in the middle of my 3-4-4 and handed off to his GR near the line, rather than keeping the ball deep. His GR failed the second dodge to get safely into the pocket and dropped the ball... right into the hands of the thrower on one of the corners. I pinned the other 3 corners and piled onto the thrower with a 3 die block... 2 skulls and a push... out of RRs.So, I get him mobbed as best I can (still just a 3+ dodge to freedom and in GFI range of a TD) and try to take out his closest corner and most likely scoring threat. Double skulls. 4 of 5 dice on two consecutive blocks! He managed to pull off a great play, blitzing the SV into the endzone and dodging away with the Thrower to get in range. He ended up GFI-ing once and handed off. This was the best part. he blew the catch, it scattered back to the thrower. The thrower blew the catch and it scattered back to the SV, who made the catch and scored. Awesome. Turn 6, 2-2.

I made a decent run at pulling ahead, but I was out of RRs and out of luck. I would have needed both. The last play of the game was my chance to make 4 consecutive 3+ rolls and a GFI to win. No RRs. Needless to say, that didn't get too far.

Thanks again for the match, Trog. A pleasure as always.
