What a close fun match that was. An early fumble by a rookie Nandorin Lineman allowed the Falcons to steal the ball and score. The Nandorins and Falcons scored one each again, and then the Falcons did a great chain push back one turn TD with a MA9 Lion Warrior to even the score (I had used my reroll on turn 6 and was one square short of scoring so I did not want to risk a GFI).

Second half was close again. The Falcons made a mistake at 3-3 and had their Witch Elf double skull (I miscounted and thought I had a two dice block, but it was one, and I rolled a Skull, rerolled into a SKull).

The Falcons were in trouble with two very experienced Lion Warriors bearing down on their rookie Thrower. Amazingly, he survived their blitz! Two dice rerolled, and not a single POW, POW/DODGE or SKULL/POW!!! A 1/16 chance! He then made a dodge against a diving tackle (needed the reroll to get the 4+) and managed to throw the ball upfield where it was turned into a score.

Nandorins had a chance to tie the match but had inneffectual blocks on the line and they were unable to get the draw.

It was a very fun, very close match. Helped greatly by KFoged's 103 SPP super thrower niggling out of the match! He would have made the game much much harder for me.

Still well played by KFoged and an enjoyable match as always.
