“Despite playing the unluckiest opponents the Mentalists have ever faced (about half a dozen double skull rolls including two in the same turn, to name but one aspect), the Dark Elves still conspired to lose.
Only a ridiculous dodge, snatch and pass manourvre (all in multiple tackle-zones) kept the Har Ganeth in the game at all.
Having said this, the Dark Elves sleepiness (only 1/4 KO recoveries) and customary two cas down by turn two made for a threadbare team, and their defense was seriously dented on a number of occasions. Even when they recovered the ball they couldn't protect it, allowing the Undead to score two turn 8 touchdowns - one a fantastic (and one of Cragganmore's few lucky moments) catch and meander from Flesh Golem Ente, foolishly left unmarked by Mad Hettie, after the crowd had hurled the ball to the dangerously placed Kong-Shui.
The Mentalists trudged off the field somewhat troubled - if they still lose when they're this lucky, how are they going to win?”
