“The Ladz began the match in the way they left the last one: with Grumsh the troll clubbing himself in the ear whilst swinging at a line man. This, plus more shoelace ineptitude saw the Dark Elves scoop up theor own kick and score with it at the end of the first quarter.
Finally, a semblance of competence showed in the goblin play as they stormed over the halfway line with the ball. Blitzer Fresno Blamer's comments before the match about "Come game time, I'll make short work of those cackling greenskinned fools!!" seemed to have been taken to heart as a posse of goblins first felled him, then one stamped on the elf's neck, breaking it and seriously hampering his future career.
A last ditch effort to retake the lead at the end of the half was foiled as both receivers were felled by concerted defence.
In the second half, the Submissives took a mere three turns to drive through the goblin defence, spirited though it was, and score. The return effort almost stalled on two separate occasions as the goblins fumbled simple handoffs, only to finally get the ball over the line in the dying seconds of the match.
All in all, a much improved outing for the goblins, who seem to have conquered their luck problems. Now all they need to do is persuade their trolls to focus on current events. (ooc - I've never seen so many failed "really stupid" rolls, even with the goblin bonus!)”
