“A great win for the Stars, a clean sheet from the nigglers meaning that all the best players turned out, and it was them who turned the game.
Illis the catcher was everywhere, and the first td came from a passblock-interception and then sprint to the endzone right at the start. Next it was the turn of the wardancers, as although they failed to capitalise on a blitz, a bit of bad luck for the dark elves gave them another chance and they took off with the ball for 2-0. Another blitz nearly made it 3-0 at half-time but Eimein failed his gfi into the endzone.
In the second half it was Assian's turn, and his long-bombs gave us the 3 td lead, and then after the dark elves had at last got through a drive, made it 4-1. The Stars hassled the elven attack on their next drive, at slowed it down enough to make it 4-2 with little time left. One last passblock from Illis kept it from being 4-3.
Although I'd like to take the credit for this, and my senior players really did take over the game, Emphasy was also very unlucky at times, a few key fumbles and gfis costing him a lot. It was fun though, and Emphasy is a coach I'd like to play against again, as he was able to see the bright side :)
For cas, only an mng on B'ni, which we can live with. The Stars march on”
