#9 Kan'Nes – Dead (RIP)
“What a game!
This is what Bloodbowl is all about sportsfans! Not only was there plenty of scoring, passing and speed out there on the pitch but the elves on both sides threw in a hefty amount of carnage and gore to boot!
The Eagles won the toss and and marched down the field quickly to get the first score of the game only losing 2 players to the bench due to knock outs.
On the ensuing kick off a lucky bounce put the ball back in the Eagles hands after some fancy footwork by thier squad. Shorthanded by a player the Ealges jumped out to a 2-0 lead in what looked to be the beginnings of a route.
The Dark Elves retaliated quickly though after a rousing speech from the team captain who took matters into his own hands. Damroth Kharn streaked to the endzone, scoring to close out the first half.
Eagles 2 - 1 Princedom
Then the true mayhem began. On the opening kick off of the second half the Dark Elves began a classic sweep right shovel pass but Cruthzarn Garthzarn had some trouble handling the ball, fumbling it on the shovel pass attempt. Seeing an opportunity the Eagles countered with a weakside blitz by Ly'thar, Eagle lineman Laf'Sah then delivered a devistating block that killed Daniel Chi'hl of the Princedom team in an attempt to get a path opened to the ball. As the Eagles closed in the Dark Elves pulled off some fantastic backside blocking allowing Cruthzarn to regain the ball, zip down the sideline and complete the pass to Damroth. As Damroth sprinted down the sideline for his second touchdown of the day, Lacu Kharn blindsided Eagle lineman Kan'Nes to avenge his teammates recent death. When the field was cleared after the score, Kan'Nes lay on the pitch having breathed his last.
Determined to not let this game slip away from them after holding a commanding lead, the Eagles scored quickly on a double fly pattern after a beautiful pass by team captain Rua'Brar.
As the hostilities flared, the crowd became involved in a heated battle that spilled onto the field on the ensuing kick off. In the confusion the Eagles were once again able to get thier hands on the ball taking away the Dark Elves oppotunity to tie the game on thier drive. As time wound down the Eagles scored yet again to raise thier score to 4!
All that was left was the final kick off. Before the ball even landed, the Dark Elves and Eagles were throwing themselves at each other with fury and hated. Enraged by the earlier blindsiding of his teammate, Ther'lat slammed himself into Cruthzarn Garthzarn stunning himself and slaying the Princedom lineman as time ran out on the game.
The guards had to be called in to cleared the field of both fans and players who were quite willing to continue the battle.

Game started with Rua' Brar's eagles recieving. Rua' Brar's eagles attempted to get a quick score, but the veteran captain had clearly seen this play before, barking out orders and rearranging his players to better cover the flank. Even though Princedom darkelves read the play perfectly Rua' Brar's eagles couldn't be stopped. This meant that Rua' Brar's eagles got to an early lead through a good kick and some dodging and blocking. Damroth as the team captain led the way by KO'en one of Rua' Brar's eagles' players on the first drive. Even though a wardancer slipped trying to block one of the darkelves the score could not be prevented.
On the next drive Rua' Brar's eagles made a great kick, knowing that Cruthzarn Bladecloak would make a silly dodge triping while running past one of the Rua' Brar's eagles players. they immidiatly jumped to this open oppertunity and the ball was quickly in to the hands of the Rua' Brar's eagles once more. Having excellent position on the darkelves they quickly used this good position to gain a 2-0 lead.
The Coach looked in to the eyes of his players, the sad look in their eyes made him turn to the Damroth demanding him to step it up proving why he is the teamcaptain and lead by doing. After clearly listening to the coach Damroth immidiatly complied tearing up the bottom side of the pitch with the help of a few team following their great captain. Even though the Rua' Brar's eagles set up a wall of defenders in front Damroth he simply wouldn't be stopped blocking his way through the woodelf wall reducing the lead to 2-1.
The second half Brought tears to the eyes of the princedom dark elves. Going for the quick equalizer, the team captain and some of his team mates went down one side of the field. But the Rua' Brar's eagles must have put some greese on the ball, because once more we couldn't get our hands on the ball. some great moves saw them treatining the ball quickly. Then came the horror, A cheap block by Laf'Sah saw the end of Daniel Chi'hl, Son of the notorious bodyguard. He was training himself to be a bodyguard aswell as his father he stood be his master protecting him from harm, paying with his life to safe his master.
The black sheep of the kharn family and vicious player, was outraged, not being able to get to the player responcible for the death of Daniel Chi'hl, Lacu turned to the nearest woodelf which happened to be Kan'Nes and quickly returned the favor in a vicious block leaving Kan'Nes mauled on the bloodied field. Cruthzarn Garthzarn quickly picked up the ball (the grease must have worn of) passed it to the waiting team captain who rushed to the endzone for the equilizer.
Rua'Brar's Eagles quickly set up for another quick score. Even though Princedom darkelves tried to cover every player is was to no avail a long bomb from their teamcaptain gave them the lead once more. The crowd was clearly outraged by Rua'Brar's Eagles getting the lead and prombtly invaded the field, given princedom darkelves a great oppertunity for another equilizer but once more those evil woodelves had greased the ball making sure the darkelves couldn't pick it up. Rua'Brar's Eagles again jumped to this open oppertunity and this gave them a commanding lead of 4-2.
The worst had still to come not being able to clear the opposion LOS, another horror hit the Princedom darkelves, a block by the evil Ther'lat, saw Cruthzarn Garthzarn having his last breath on the field of glory. If it hadn't been for the guards joining in to end the game a war would have started between to two teams. The Rua'Brar's Eagles would have seen the wrath of the Princedom darkelves which would have left them unable to continue in the tournament sadly the guards jumped in to protect them”
