“Malthor seemed quite worried at the prospects of the game as he was two players short but I told him not too worry - while Lizzards can be quite frustrating to play against so can amazons when you have no skills to counter all their dodge/blodge (plus I'm just learning to play with them).
And it did turn out to be am interesting match after all. I burned most of my RR early on in the 1st half on blocks but managed to kill one of his ladies (who, fortunately, got apothed) and KO another, but this was basickly the blocks that worked for me as I pushed his ball-carrier around. He dodged and ran and after some futile attempts to stop him from my side I was down 0-1. I tried to equalize in the last two turns but seemed to have forgotten that two of my skinks had been KO and spread my team to much requiring a dodge from two skinks - the last one failling. An attempt to salvage the situation resulted in one of my Sauri knocking himself down together with a zon.
In the 2nd half I managed to equalize quickly and BH a zon acquiring an even greater numerical advantage which served me well as I managed to exploit an unfortunate turnover thanks to the skinks in my opponents half and got a 2-1 lead. The next kick-off was 10 Coldbloods facing 8 Babes which was soon reduced to 9 vs 8 and then 8 vs 8 in the first turn after the kick.
I tried to hold the Babes back but failed as more of my players got KO (including a Saurus) and the Babes managed to stall so I wouldn't get the chance of managing a 3-2 victory. My last attempt at regaining ball-possetion failed and the game ended in a draw. It was a close-fought match that I enjoyed. Good luck in the rest of your matches, Malthor”
