“The game started badly for Mootfield with both Longbranch and Firmroots struck down by the dreaded Morley's Revenge but the plucky little guys managed to carry out a scrambling defence until the dying seconds of the first half when they were stretched too far and could not prevent the opposition from smashing over for a touchdown
The second half started a lot better as both the Mootfield big guys were back on the pitch and straight from the kick off which the opposition failed to dedal with Tsubaki managed to Blitz to make a little room for himself he then ran for the ball managed to pick it up an went for it and crashed over the line for a touchdown
Whatever head coach Solahma had said at half time certainly had the desired effect on his players
Late on in the second half Mootfield nearly did it again when Matt managed to push the ball carrier into touch the loose ball was then picked up by Ringo who then managed to pass the ball out wide to Sid
Sid ran with the ball but was just short of the line when he was pulled down the ball coming loose again but neither side able to do anything with it
And so the game ended all square at 1 apiece
