Going into the games the Crushers had alot of pent up agression and energy, craving revenge for the humiliating defeat they suffered in their first game. They knew only to well that Father Nurgle wouldn't tolerate such a disgrace once again.

Despite a blitz in the Crushers favour the Blades opened very strong with 2 Ko's in the couple of first turns while steadily moving the ball downfield. Realizing that they wouldn't be able to stop this td the Crushers instead ganged up on the Blades ogre and fouled him to a BH (apo used). The remainder of the first half turned into a slugfest in the middle with the ball changing hands almost every turn. It wasn't until the last turn that the Crushers could tear the ball free and with a lucky quickpass they tied the game at halftime.

The Crushers good luck continued in the second half with the Blades failing their KO-rolls, an early foul resulted in a player getting sent off though. Both teams were short on players this half but the Crushers managed to get the upper hand, injuring Switchblade Steve in the process (the player that had scored the winning TD in the teams first meeting).

The Blades still had their wizard though and managed to knock the ball loose by the end of the second half, being short on players they failed to capitalize on this though. The last turn of the second half then saw Eskil gfi to score the winning TD for the crushers, much to the Crushers relief and Father Nurgle's approval. The humiliating loss had been avenged and the Crushers are looking forward to defend their title in the second season of The Rivalry of the Gods!”
