“To sum this game up.. opponent disconnects, rejoins, takes advantage of situation, scores, wins. End of story. End of game.
Uhm buddy, you got to roll 2+ for dodging into 1 TZ with 4ag, and rolled 2, which would've failed.. then you dodged into 2 TZ's without having to roll, and promptly got the INT.
But you're right, perfectly fair. I even recall you COMMENTING on not having to roll for the second dodge. Just happened to forget that, eh? Just like you happened to disconnect on that injury.
But whatever, congrats on the win.
Edit: I do have screenshots. Took 3 just in case, I always do when playing disconnecters. No offense. So yeah, really all you've written down is a lot of meaningless crap. Again, congrats, about as nice as the win you apparently won fairly. Next time I'm on IRC I'll send them your way and you check them out.
Not that it matters one bit, in the end what matters is that I got screwed out of a win by a chump move on your part. Honour, gotta wonder why people have none these days. ”
“A rather cheesey win, after a reload resulted in a screwey INT that probably should not have been possible, which really was the play that ultimately decided the game. :/
Ah well, we both knew my connection was dodgey going into the game, and this does mark the first time I have benefitted from a reload - usually they do to me what this one did to Aequitas...Can't wait until I'm all moved into the new place and have my cable broadband back, and not this gimpy wireless link!
Don't worry Aequitas, you'll get your chance at revenge once I get my connection back! The Insurrection promise!
EDIT: *ahem* From what I saw it looked like a perfectly fair and normal INT, just seemed that you had overlooked my passblock (not the first time someone's done that). I do recall saying at least twice after that, let's call the game unplayable on account of the reload screwing it up (since it had already saved due to the turnover). I beleive you said 'no way you're keeping your thrower, enjoy your TD.' There wasn't anything to 'duplicate.' If you want me to do something else (pass your intended receiver the ball on my turn, etc.) perhaps the time to tell me was when I ASKED you in game if I should play on or not, rather than just making a vague accusation in the match report?
ANOTHER EDIT: Guess I'll just add this and let you have the last word after: I thought it was pretty obvious that I had a different view on my screen and didn't dodge because there weren't any players there. How else would I have been able to move without the client making dodge rolls exactly? Have you never seen that happen before? We didn't sync the reload before and everything was fine then, so I didn't sync that time because in my experience, a sync has a funny way of corrupting the game (as indeed it did a turn later with the 'two balls' thing after we did try to sync).
I said there was no second dodge because I scrolled up to look at what dice had been rolled, after you said I had only made one dodge (i.e. scrolled up to see what you might have meant, as I only saw one dodge to make).
And I disconnected long before 'that injury' (you said it was a horrid BH on a wardancer...we elves call that 'safe.' even a rabid game dropper would have waited for a real injury (say...a RIP like my thrower?) to disconnect, eh?, I assume you kept on playing without realizing I was gone. I guess I need to be taking screen shots every turn from now on?
I suppose this means you won't be looking to play me again, which is a shame because I always found you to be a fun, fair, and challenging opponent (part of the reason I kept asking if you wanted to call it off after the reload INT - had no desire to beat you in that fashion). I wasn't seeking to cheat, and I wasn't dropping on purpose. When a disconnect finally did affect the game, I asked if I should stop and you said no. I'm not sure what else you wanted. ”
