A new type of creature visited our ship today. These orks were large and burly and I was not sure we were ready for them. But they were so amazed by our ship's technology that they were not concentrating on the game. By the time the newness of their surroundings wore off, it was the second half and we were up 2-0.
I had Drithtuner working on a special invention for this match--a soft covering for our cargo bay which would make it much less painful to play on. After the injuries we've suffered, anything we can do to make Algernon be a little less overworked is an absolute necessity. And it worked beautifully! Our soft fur can't quite take the rough surface that most fields have, but Drithtuner's BouncyTurf made it much less painful.
We've also built a replacement arm for Tara. It'll take her a while to get used to it--she's not quite as agile now, but I'm sure that once she's had some practice with it, she'll like it even better than her last one.
I've been visiting Algernon a lot, lately. He managed to fix up my leg, and he's been doing wonderful work for us, but I'm worried about him. He seems so nervous, always flitting here and there. Perhaps he should take a couple of days off? I wish we could afford the time for that.”
