“In a game marred by crowd trouble, the Manningtree Moredhel continue their run of poor results in a 'freindly' against the rat-tastic Roland's Rockers. After playing a short series against the Woshintin Greenskins, the Dark Elf team struggled to find tactics against the fast paced sewer-dwellers game.

Some poor offensive play by the MM was scrupilously taken advantage of by the Rockers inthusiasm, (or maybe too much time with the warpstone). A great first half performance saw the Rockers go into the break with a 1-0 lead. The only punishment they suffered was by their own hand when Wakar Att took a dive near the endzone, but landed awkardly, throttling himself with his own tail.

The second half saw some better play by the Darkies, but they struggled to find a breakthrough as the ratlings raised their game to boot (with a few boots). They managed to sneak a try in the middle of the second half with nice passing move between Spytful Slycer and Salazar Dracius (the older of the Dracius Blitzer brothers). However, the game decsended into controversy at the re-start when a crowd invasion stunned three of the MM players, allowing the Rockers to score a second try and win the match.

An insider from the Manningtree camp claims that the recent crowd problems suffered by the Moredhel (last week the 'Angel' was hit by a rock and suffered a broken leg) are not as a result of opposition fans, but the own side disgruntled Darkies protesting over a recent poor run. Maybe a couple of good results can curry the crowds favour, or will they be banished to play daylight league football by the Dark Brothers Council, who knows, more as it develops ....

Post match officials are closely examining some of the footage memorised by the NFL Ref-Wizards after a few dubious bounces by the football. One incidient involved the ball baouncing half the length of the pitch when the Rocker's Ratto Ninetails landed on it after being almost thrown into the crowd. However officials are ruling out dirty tricks as the action benefitted neither team sufficiently, and are putting it down to a large volume of warpstone dealing being conducted by the home fans.”
