“Facing up to a reputed Bruiser type team Light and Dark gave temporary contracts to 2 rookies and pushed them onto the front line to soften the blow to the team stars as much as possible.
Kicking first LaD decided to start by just holding back from the line to slow the big guys down even more than normal. All that is apart from Thumpa who took it upon himself to go and hit the biggest and strongest member of the opposition with just a pushback result. He was however the first player into the KO box next turn.
For 5 or 6 turns LaD tried to slow the advancing dead as much as possible without getting too close and taking the hits until an opportunity presented itself. With the right assists LaD were able to push the ball carrier out of the cage off the back of another block and then blitz him with ball releaseing effect. A succesfull pickup in 1 tz and then dodge and pass and LaD set Greenhair free to run unchecked into enemy terretory for the T8 TD.
A blizard set in at the start of the second half and the classic 2 turn elf TD was extended to 5 to ensure the win and try to limit potential injury to the players.
A Blitz on the restart and LaD tried to pressure the ball grabbing it in T8 with some amazing dodging but failing the pass that could have released Crone for TD number 3.

Amazingly unlucky blocking by Stargate Power throughout the game was the key to the result with only 2 CAS (1 of those in T16) and a fist full of KO that mainly recovered each kickoff.
