“Luck readings out due to disconnect at half time.
A very very close game despite the large TR and TS difference!
The handicaps were Doom and Gloom, It Wasn't Me and three other minor ones. The Scientists had a lot of good fortune in the first half and a good chance of taking a 3-2 lead into half time but it was not to be and the scores were level at 2-2 going into the break. At this point, the first half, the luck reading was 58-74 (74 for the Scientists) as they put extreme pressure on the Falcons.
In the second half, it was a tough battle and the Falcons managed to steal the ball and almost score on defence when the Scientists forgot that Falcons Witch Elf Jenna the Deathdealer was both Str 4 and a side-stepper and their own Witch Elf had a two dice Falcons choose for the second block on Frenzy that resulted in a skull. The Falcons pushed throw and had had a chance to score. It was a 3+ Pass with a 2+ catch (and a 6 intercept chance), and I went for a 2+ GFI to make it a 2+ throw and 2+ catch with no intercept and rolled a 1 on the GFI and lost the ball! That 1 would have been the intercept roll and I should have tried that a pass instead. Oh well.
The Scientists recovered the ball and scored to take a 3-2 lead.
The Falcons replied to even the scores, and then fortune smiled on them when they had a blitz on defence and they managed to steal the ball and score the winning TD.
------------
A very close fought match. My opponent had very good luck in the first half, but then I had the very good luck in the second half, especially the blitz. It was much much closer than my opponent thought it would be.
Well played and I look forward to a rematch some time.
Best part of the match was afterwards when my AG5, Strong Arm, Safe Throw, Accurate Thrower made his 76 aging roll and got another +1 AG!!! Took Block though heh.”
