As always, a very tough tussle against the pestilential brethren. I dont think any of the teams from Snorriheim have had an easy game against them.

Took some tough cagebusting to get away with the game and they made the most of their chances, but had to hold their breath as Twilight watched the Veil come down as he tried to mosh amongst the rotter's cage. Luckily only a KO for his enthusiasm.

Coach Snorri is still needing to work on those elven tactics. You'd think he'd have them fine tuned after many seasons with the elf orcs. Failed to leave a guy downfield late in the first half (oh but its so tempting to run him back and help!) which proabably cost a try. Important rule to be remembered, if you can't do it with just a half dozen elves, then one more ain't going to help, so he may as well stay downfield!

Probably also a lesson for DS's boys too, although there wasn't much they did wrong. Against elves, having someone back deep to cover can be very useful and might have got him a try in the first half.

The match finally finished with a bit of entertainment for the crowd. Strutting downfield for a second try without worrying too much about the goats behind her, Hopp''n M'Broom left herself in range for a superlative dodging blitz that put her out of action from one of the goats. Not one for letting a goat show up some elves, the Ice Wolf ran in, dodged thrice, picked up the ball and ran for the try, only to get cocky and fail his gfi on the line!

Good game DS. Sorry for the occasional tardiness...lost some time tracking down pop-up windows on my desktops and had a few people interruptions.

*****

From our perspective DS, busting those cages was never easy, particularly after the leap'er got taken off after a failed bust in Turn 10. That left the win in doubt and meant taking quite a few risks right up until Turn 15. All things considered it was an interesting match right up until those last two turns and hardly one-sided given the win was in doubt for so long.

I'm sorry you didn't appreciate the fact that it was a good, interesting match.

#7 Toxic – Dead (RIP)
Nothing you can do against a team full of blodge when you've only got 2 tackle and one of them is killed mid way through the 1st half. Getting the DP sent off 1st foul didn't help either - especially since he only stunned the pain in the arse sidestepping witch. The rest of the game was very one sided as I vainly attempted to stop the elves getting the ball off me and failed to get a cas until mid way through the 2nd half.
