First things first;

I am soooo happy with regeneration for once. Normally only zombies die and regenerate but today it really saved my bacon. Or rather; Wights.

Secondly I decided to burn some cash and hire a star; Ramtut.
A wise choice if there was one. My team was so incredibly out-muscled with 5 ST4 chaos players plus troll on top of which an enormous amount of guard outclassed my team.

With the ST6 or the star I could get by. Barely but I did.

The game itself; I received and burned an early RR only to see how my AG4 wolf fumbled the picking up of the ball. A foul wall of mutated muscle closed in on the ball but could not properly reach it. My team leaped for the gap Chaos left on our left flank, the agile wolf picked the ball up this time and gave it to the new puppy. Whom was distracted by a lovely bitch waving her tail in the stands. he promptly failed to catch.

The turn after my agile wolf gave him the ball again and this time he actually managed to catch it. Even the ever elusive and ever-failing go-for-it was made despite the ball in hand. (claw?). 1-0 by new puppy in my turn 3.

His drive started spectacularly; blitzing the Golem on my right and Badly Hurting him. regged though. (it was a fine day I tell you!) My right flank was wide open... Lots of chaos pouring in, the big-handed beast picked the ball up and went to give it to a warrior near the middle line whom was supposed to walk behind the newly set up screen of his team-mates.

If only he would have caught the ball. (heh) a few safe moves later the AG4 wolf blitzed the big-handed beast and BH'd him. The other wolf went over and tried to pick the ball up but the distraction form the Chaos warrior in his tackle-zone proved to much. Even so; the ball scattered to a spot between my 2 wolves and a wight. Yay.

The Chaos answer was swift and brutal; the new wolf was knocked unconscious and the ball scattered to the same warrior whom redeemed himself by catching it this time.

Now it was time for Ramtut to show his worth; blitzing the warrior and knocking him over. My agile wolf umped up and scooped up the ball, running downfield. Fast but not fast enough for his MA7 beast intercepted him; ball loose once more with 2 beasts nearby. In my head I made some calculations; Jump up; 3+ for the dodge, 3+ to pick it up and 2+ for the final dodge. Not bad at all with a RR at hand. It was not to be...
Damn wolf stunning himself in the process to boot.

Once more Chaos was brutal; killing (but regged!) my guard-Wight (phew!) and sending a beast downfield. Precious few of my team was left to stop them but in the end I could place 2 zombies in the tz of the one wolf in scoring position while the rest ran (or stumbled) back too.
In the last Chaos turn all he had to do was a quick pass and catch it. Without RR though; that was burned earlier on an untimely double-skull.

He failed.

His drive in the 2nd half was almost stopped in it's tracks but in the end Chaos had the skill to pull it off. Or rather; some skill and an awful lot of muscle.

I moaned when a blitz happened but when Chao sin their eagerness over-extended themselves I smiled an evil Necromantic smile; he had left a huge gap on their left flank if I could get the ball and send it over safely. Sure hands worked, as did the hand-off to the agile wolf whom quick-passed it to my lone ghoul. Ramtut and a wight shielded the ghoul from unwanted attention. I even had my ghoul waving to the crowd for a turn. But no more than 1 turn.

Chaos had a mere 2 turns left to even the score and no more RR.
The blitz on my Golem failed this time. (yay; SF!) Then a lone beast made some incredible elven dodges. All i did was 3D blitz him and knock him over. Thus ending the game in a hard-earned 2-1.

The ghoul got his first skill in this very enjoyable game.

Plus I learned my team REALLY needs more guard...
And a bit +ST would not be bad either.

I don´t really need to write a fancy summary of the game since Jinxed has already said what can be said. Despite more muscle and Guard as far as the eyes could reach it was not enough...

I´m actually quite happy that Jinxed´s wight´s regenerated because I wouldn´t want to loose those players. In the last drive I got too excited on my Blitz! and the ball scattered a bit unlucky for me thus avoiding my tacklezones :(

Otherwise a well thought game that I think could have gone either way. I´ll get my revenge eventually if I manage to hold my place in F1.
