#14 Kung Fu – Serious Concussion (-AV)
What a wild and wacky game! Game opened with the rats being sent off the pitch in droves by the humans, though we managed to punch in a score anyway. No thx to a failed gfi which badly hurt our ballboy as he tripped over the goalline...

The humans continued to bash away, ko'ing many rats en route to an easy return score. Then we made two coaching tactical errors--first, passing the ball w/o support around should I fail (which I did, and he recovered); second, by misclicking my blitzing RO trying to free up the ball, sending him through a tz and tripping instead of around. Guess he was just in too much of a hurry to hit... Anyway, he converted these errors of mine into a 2-1 halftime lead.

Second half, he has the ball, and is driving up, but this time the rats are refusing to be bullied off the pitch, and in fact are doing some hitting back of their own (FINALLY). However, the humans still outnumber the rats, and should make for an easy score...til his blitzer fails the ball pickup of a loose ball. Time for a little dose of insanity play...a blitz by my thrower (dodging away) to get only one opposing tz on the ball (dodge ok, POW on his blodging catcher)...a block by my RO on his ogre to free up the potential receiver of the ball (RIP ogre, apo already used earlier in the match)...couple dodges and gfi's to pick up the ball in tz and pass up by a gutter, to get caught by the SV now standing over the ogre's corpse, over the heads of three human defenders (easily done)...and RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, KARATE!!!! The only one able to reach him was his super-catcher Milt, who dodged his way through all sorts of tz's and prehensile tails to double-gfi and lay a tz on my guy...who just calmly tackled him to the ground and scored the equalizer...

The crowd was going absolutely nuts at this turn of events, but the humans had two more turns to retake the lead, and there were only 8 rats still able to stand. Two more got sent to the ko box, and tz's were placed on everybody...except our star RO!! He can single handedly stop the humans!!

.....until he just stands in rage, blocking the path of the other rats who might be able to place key tz's. Way to go, big guy... All I'm able to place is a couple gutters, and he has tackling blitzers ready to knock them off. We're resigning ourselves, the fans are starting to leave the stadium early to get to the parking area and grab their horses...

...but the humans blitz the wrong gutter, leaving Ninjitsu the sneak ready to dive at the ankles of Milt as he dodges for the winning score. And who'd know that this catcher, who'd dodged easy as pie through many tz's earlier in this very same match, would fail this most important of dodges. So shocked was he that he failed, he didn't brace himself properly for the fall and ended up stuffing the entire bloodball in his mouth and down his throat, killing himself in his surprise.

We conserved our draw, though sry for hte loss of a very respectable catcher. I think I would rather have had my OTS wake up and retie the game at 3 instead next turn, but that proved unnecessary. Rematch at your leisure, it was a very enjoyable game.
