“The Tunnelbacken Tristan started the game at a disadvantage when two of their four Vampires decided to go snack on some unfortunate specators rather than take to the field!
With a line up of 4 Vampires and 7 Thralls this meant they only had 9 players to take to the pitch for the opening drive! The Not Anothers quickly exerted their will on their opponents, knocking out one Vampire with some strong hitting, then fouling the other one (my only foul for the game) and knocking him out too.
Despite this numerical advantange, the Not Anothers had some difficulty advancing the ball (kept losing rerolls!) and it took them some time to get the ball into a relatively safe position.
Having lost a Storm Vermin last match, the Not Anothers were not in the mood to get bashed and thus ran down the clock to reduce the time being bashed by the Vampires at the next kickoff before taking the lead.
In the second period, the Not Anothers started in defence, but managed to steal the ball and score a second TD to secure a victory.
The Skaven looked like being in a position to steal the ball again, but the Vamps finally used their Hypnotic Gaze power to powerful effect, shifting the ball effortlessly from one side of the pitch to the other before an easy score.
--------
It was a fun game. Realised my opponent was not super experienced with Vamps early on and ended up giving him tips on how to play against me LOL.
My opponent learned fast and I am sure he will give me a much harder run next time round.
