“In my own defense, yes I did stop trying to do things after the first five turns of the first half. I was expecting him to stall and I wouldn't have been upset if he did.
After five turns (and a fair amount of dice rolling) I had a luck percentage of around 25%. Some people say that it's not a fair assessment of how well you are doing, but this game was. Cloggy had me good. He killed my thrower early in the first half (decided not to Apo. No use for it. He failed to pick up the ball. He deserved to die). He had my AG 5 blitzer in the BH box by turn 2. Three other players (including two more blitzers) were in the KO box and he had the ball and was surrounded.
Why stand your players up if they are going to get knocked down with multiple guard-blockers all around? No use getting the rest of the team KO'd, BH'd or worse.
He did let me back into the game though. He didn't have to and I wouldn't have gotten upset. Yes, all hail the stallers. Which is why most of us buy wizards pre-game. ”
“Damn I'm getting too merciful at my old age. My opponent got off to a horrible start and soon I was leading 1-0, had the ball and was in fine position. My opponent then simply stopped playing and skipped his turns. Obviously I started feeling bad, because it's never fun to be on the recieving end of 1 of those. Happenend to me yesterday, so the wound was still fresh. In that game when I was down and out my opponent started stalling, which when done to you is VERY annoying.
So now stupid me decides to give the guy a break, score the TD and at least get the game going again. Clearly Nuffle frowns upon this kind of behaviour, because after that I never had another chance. NOTHING worked anymore and I ended up staring baffled at a scoringboard saying 2-2. Oh, and I have now dropped 3 full points of CR in 3 games: WOOOOHOOOO
Lessons learned today: Nice guys finish last
All hail the stallers”
