“For once a match where our lone wolf wouldn't be injured, he was a (stunned) ironman for this match. Avicia however niggled (yet again) slowing us down considerably.
The lizards started by scoring pretty fast (thanks to Raolet not being quite the ironman he was supposed to be), nothing surprising there.
We on the other hand failed to score. Whenever we got someone past the lines and in scoring range, they were immediately knocked over and either stunned or knocked out. After this happened a couple of times we were suffering from a severe shortage of players and had to concentrate more on just keeping the ball and not letting the lizards score again. No problems there, Arnaldus knew what he was doing.
Halftime. That's when something went terribly wrong. All four of our knocked out players stayed knocked out (and Hadwis stayed dead in the way he wasn't before the match) while the lizards all recovered.
Receiving the next kick were our trusty star Arnaldus, both golems (who were in a less agile mood than usual), three of them zombies and the comic sidekick of the day, Raolet. Facing a field full of lizards, all sizes. Things were looking good at times, but there were just too many of them and they were too fast and too strong. Another touchdown against us.
A fun game overall although it was mostly a practise in how to play against superior numbers with players who are slow and can't dodge. Can't say I know how, not if the opponent is any good (which our opponent was).”
