“The game began with a burst of POWS and 100% luck. Mine lasted till the third turn (and my luck beyond), Quaruk's did not. Doubleskulls death and a love of ones cost him dear, and the Stalkers lost the ball, putting me 1-0 up by turn 4.

Some good defensive play by the Pyschotics (and some more luck) made it 2-0 before the half was out.

The unbalanced luck (it was 74% - 48% after the first half) started to tail off as I suffered for my first half good fortune. After just managing to score on my first offense to make it 3-0 by turn 2/3, I suffered two Si in two turns and rolled doubleskulls rerolled to doubleskulls. I followed that up with 4 straight ones to ensure a very quick finish.

If any of those ones had been a two I would have added the fourth, but Quarak's luck was hardly better - he made it 3 ones and a 2 dodge rerolled to a 2 (although, unlike me, he did get some blocks in) - ensuring that he couldn't score either.

A good win, but a costly one. Down two players and with two nigglers by the first game - we'll see how long these ELF boys can last.”
