Whilst there were moments of fun (eg his Tree intercepting my needless pass), mostly it was just bad luck.
Early on, his only player with Tackle badly hurt himself on a failed dodge (Diving Tackle and Tackle) joining a Falcons player in the casualty bin who had also failed a dodge.
Critically, the Leafblowers tried to use their apothecary on their Wardancer but it was to no avail.
Soon after, Leafblower players started to get hurt all over the place with the lightest of touches. None of my 4 blocking casualties were caused by Mighty Blow, all straight through blocks, with one of them causing a RIP.
The other two players that died on the Leafblower team died from a failed dodge, and the Wardancer died on a failed leap.
Cloggy was in disbelief at his horror run, 6 casuatlies on his team, 3 being deaths and none were caused with any modifiers on the armour or injury roll!
He asked me to finish off his team for him late in the game so I tried to go hard, even using my DP to foul but the harder I tried, the less damage I did, couldn't even knock players over! If only my rolls had been like this earlier, Cloggy's team wouldn't have been massacred (though two of his deaths were not from my blocks) and he might have had a more enjoyable game where he challenged my much more superior team.
Anyways, Cloggy was one of the most sporting coaches I have ever played. Best of luck with the rebuilding of the Leafblowers.
Who would have thought that doding and leaping were more dangerous than being hit by Witch Elves with Mighty Blow and Tackle!”

I always knew I would be fighting huge odds, but this was rediculous.”
