“Luck reading is out due to a turn 4 second half hang after I scored a TD. Luck meter was 56% me, 60% my opponent at that stage.

A very close fun match, that I only just won late in the game when my opponent ran out of rerolls with 3 turns to go and had some bad rolls and I managed to steal the ball and secure the win.

It was a very very funny game at times. First half, there was a blizzard and my luck was shocking... down to 31% at one stage. My opponent made a mistake and I was able to steal the ball deep in his half with a Blodger. He had two players without Block or Tackle and I tried to GFI to score when really I was quite safe. First roll failed, rerolled. Silly me then went for the second GFI on a 3+ when he really had very little chance to get the ball back off me and I lost the ball!

We fight for the ball and it goes from all the way from his endzone to 7 out from mine but the pass is just out of range (diagonal). I roll a double skulls and I fail to steal it.

My opponent then rerolls a block and gets double skulls himself to give me another shot. It was hilarious stuff.

This time I manage to steal it and score, and the half finishes at 1-1 when my opponent got a good reply.

Second half it was very tight. I had one good turn where I badly injured two of his best players - a Str 4 Block Tackle player, and his Diving Tackle Lino. This made it a bit easier for me to keep getting the lead, though there were some tough times, like when he got a blitz but failed to catch the ball and I manged to send it to safety with no rerolls left.

Another funny moment where I overcommitted on an attempt to steal the ball and my opponent threw it in two TZs to his player with 8 MA on the line of scimmage and then ran deep into my half with screening trailers that just made it too hard for me to stop him scoring heh.

All in all a fun match with money for us both, no FF loss and no permanent injuires. A perfect day out for most elf teams!
